Jump and Give Myself 30?

Old School, New Data

Jumping Jacks, what? Isn’t that an old fashioned exercise from the 50’s? Actually, not only do you engage most of your muscles during this exercise, but a set of these also increases the blood flow and oxygenation throughout your body.  Instant “Cardio” – without the health club membership $$!

Jumping Jacks can be a very viable medium-impact cardiovascular or warmup exercise, done properly.  In this exercise, your feet actually leave the ground slightly – it’s exciting to obtain this vitality level.

How To

Many others agree with me… check here!   A few important hints – wear good training shoes, or barefoot on a forgiving surface (but not bathroom tiles!) Do not duck your head down every time you raise your arms up. Spring on your toes (medium impact), not slam down on flat feet (high impact).  This is a type of “cross training” – if  Jumping Jacks make your back sore… let’s talk about it ASAP.  We can modify the exercise to make it work.

It’s my objective to create fitness plans that Blue Heron people can do without having to spend a lot of money! Let’s keep working on a list of things that you can do without leaving home. (By the way, you can do this one outside, even in the rain!)

Can you do this after a motor vehicle accident or work injury? Yes, we can help you get to that place.  You can do this in any language (Quiropractico en Portland Hablamos Espanol!) Talk to me at your next appointment about how to work this in.
