A qualified second opinion is useful for everyone. It allows you to obtain a different perspective on a diagnosis, and possibly provides a fresh look at a case. Keep in mind that opinions are just opinions. A doctor who renders a second opinion does not have to become a treating doctor. You may stay with your treating doctor. I render second opinions for patients, doctors, physical therapists, industry, employers, insurance companies, and lawyers.
My training included certification in impairment analysis. There are different levels of impairment analysis; my specialization is the most specific one, based upon the American Medical Association's "Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment", 6th Edition, 2008.
Our equipment includes
a JTECH
Industries impairment testing station.
The components of this include:
JTECH Tracker ROM system - a computerized range of
motion measurement system utilizing dual inclinometers.
JTECH GripTrack - computerized grip strength
testing with an integrated dynamometer, useful for effort validation.
JTECH Commander Lift testing station - a force gauge and lifting
platform for performing static lifts and NIOSH
testing.
JTECH Onsite Commander - Static push-pull strength testing for muscle
testing, comparable to published norms.
JTECH Pulse Track monitoring - an integrated wireless
heart-rate sensor system for use during testing (optional).
This equipment calculates reproducible impairment data and generates useful reports for case management. We seek to provide opinions based upon accurate, validated data that can survive a legal challenge.
